Some people like to shop for clothes, shoes, purses, etc….but not me! My favorite thing to shop for is FOOD! I like to go to a variety of supermarkets at least 4 times a week. I find that each supermarket has their own specialties.
My son, Gavin, and I were invited to visit Earth Fare in which we both found it to be unique and fun! You aren’t alone if you haven't heard of Earth Fare. It has been around since 1975 but new to the Palm Beach Boynton Beach area. The mission is really simple: offer real food to enable people to regain control of their own health. You can shop with confidence in every isle. Earth Fare has created a list of over 150 ingredients that you will never find in their food. They call it their boost list!
When we first entered, we walked right over to the produce section which had a large variety of fruits and vegetables that looked so fresh and delicious. They use reverse osmosis water to keep the produce clean. Gavin was very happy since he got his own cart to shop with.
I loved the bulk wall where they had an assortment of grains, nuts, seeds and snacks. Bulk is a great way to try different products since you can get as much or as little as you want. Have you ever bought a bag a grains that you heard were delicious and healthy for you…prepared it….and then discovered you didn’t like it. You end up dumping it and realized it was a waste of money!
Bulk shopping is a way you can buy a small
and try it to see if you like it.
They even had a bulk liquid carousel of oils, agave nectar, vinegar, and maple syrup. I have never seen that before. Great way to save money.
The fish department was my favorite. One of my biggest pet peeves about fish is where it comes from. At Earth Fare, I loved that fact that 100% of the seafood was traceable and sustainably sourced. Prices of fish could really hurt my budget but the prices here were amazing! This department had NO fishy odor. Fish should not smell fishy but have an ocean, fresh smell. They had some frozen fish meals with a sauce that all you had to do was defrost and heat up. The prices ranged from $3-$10….you can't go wrong! This really makes life so much easier.
They had an extensive array of plant based milks, cheese, ice cream, yogurts and meat alternatives. There was one cheese I heard of and wanted to try. The friendly staff opened it and gave me a sample to try. I actually loved it and bought it.
Cooking is my passion, but there are some days that I am exhausted and just want to heat up something healthy for my family. Earth Fare has a variety of pre-made refrigerated meals that’s so easy to prepare…. all you have to do is heat it up which is great for a quick meal.
Their food display is awesome as they tailor their variety of products to accommodate people who are on various diets. We are excited that Earth Fare is in town and we can’t wait to visit again.
